Nurturing the next generation of STEM innovators in Nigeria

We offer Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) focused camps, workshops and after-school programs for students ages 8 - 17.

Mission

Exploris Learning and Enrichment (ELE)  was founded with the purpose of improving and enhancing the Nigerian students’ understanding of and participation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) related fields. Our goal at ELE is to introduce students to global trends in STEM education and to promote STEM related pursuits through creative problem solving, exposure to real world applications and immersion in practical exercises. Through active participation in the program students cultivate positive leadership, communication and social skills while increasing confidence in their STEM abilities.

Curriculum Principles

The traditional STEM curriculum in the average Nigerian classroom very often does not effectively translate the concepts learned in the curriculum to everyday applications. Our programs are focused on bridging the gap between what is learned in the classroom and the real world applications. The structure and relatively small class sizes of our programs will allow students to explore their creative inclinations and other interests in addition to the scientific explorations in the camp curriculum. Our aim is to increase students’ curiosity and understanding of the variety of options available in STEM fields through creative critical thinking exercises and applications.

Our Values

The founders and team behind ELE believe strongly in creating an environment that is welcoming to all students and fosters learning and creativity. We also believe in socially responsible entrepreneurship and, strive to make our programs accessible to all students regardless of their background in the larger communities in which we operate. We also welcome partnership efforts for fundraising and sponsorship of students from under-served comunities.
